Cinema, diversity and inclusion:<br>Sign Gene arrives in Japan

(10 September 2018) The screening of "Sign Gene" is scheduled at the Italian Institute of Culture in Tokyo, on September 14th at 17:00. It was written, produced and directed by Emilio Insolera in 2017 (USA, Italy, Japan, 70 ') , starring Insolera himself with Carola Insolera, Ben Bahan, Hiroshi Vava, and Humberto Insolera. Born deaf with deaf parents, Insolera directs a film that mixes elements inspired by the universe of X-Men, 007 and martial arts films, full of references to historical figures in the deaf community such as Laurent Clerc, Alexander Graham Bell, and Jean Massieu. It is an experimental science fiction film filmed in the United States, Italy, and Japan, about the origins of the "first generation of deaf superheroes". The screening of Sign Gene will be preceded by the "Alfa Romeo - Be Yourself": a special event dedicated to the beauty of diversity, which Alfa Romeo promotes by supporting non-profit organisations and activities aimed at developing inclusiveness in Japan.
