(21 settembre 2018) Vega C will take the Earth observation satellite Kompsat-7 of the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) into orbit. The mission will be carried out by the space centre of Kourou, in French Guiana, starting from December 2021. The launch contract was signed by Arianespace, the French company that sells the launcher, and by Lim Cheol-Ho, president of KARI. Vega C is the new generation launcher designed, developed, and built by Avio in the Colleferro (Rome) plants. Compared to the current Vega, the new launcher will allow it to offer better performance at a competitive price thanks to the new technologies also implemented on the new P120 and Zefiro 40 engines.
