The digitalization of Italian residents and enterprises demonstrates the growing importance of technology in daily life and economic activity. The country has made progress toward the Digital Decade's goals, albeit at different paces in terms of infrastructure availability, service use, and human capital development. The increasing prevalence of internet connection has yet to be matched by an equally high and consistent usage of the potential provided by digital technology. Raising knowledge of the benefits and risks of new technology is critical for increasing involvement in the digital transition. This is the picture presented in the report "ItalIA 2030: Infrastructure, Skills and Technologies for a Country Looking to the Future", produced by the Institute for Competitiveness (I-COM) as part of its annual Observatory on Next-Generation Networks and Services.
