(26 Apr) Next May 5 will be a special day for 'Perfect Fire', a documentary by Paola Rosà and Antonio Senter. Sponsored by the Autonomous Province of Trento and shot in Oregon at Aprovecho Research Center, where engineers, artisans, designers and NGO operators are working together to build and test low emissions stoves for developing countries, the reportage will be projected, almost simultaneously, in Los Angeles, Milan and Parma. Already selected by Italian and European festivals in 2011, and winner of an Honorable Mention at the Columbus Film Festival in Ohio, the documentary starts with an introduction by Reinhold Messner. It has been produced by Rosà/Senter together with the Immigration Office of the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Fondazione Cassa Rurale di Trento. It will be screened in Los Angeles at the Macha Theater in West Hollywood, competing for the Audience award at Awareness Film, Art and Music Festival, a Californian film festival devoted to solidarity and environmental sustainability. The movie follows the activities of the Aprovecho Center, where Dale Andreatta, a descendant of immigrants from Trentino, collaborates voluntarily. (Red/Peg)
