It took time, for many years I wanted to perform in these lands borrowed from the source, and I'm glad that this trip is beginning with this record, for the human material it is made of”. So says Vinicio Capossela: on April 28 his latest album "Canzoni della Cupa", will be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The album went straight to the top of Italy’s FIMI charts and was certified Gold. The renowned British magazine Mojo called it "the greatest work" of the singer. Capossela will also be on tour in Germany and Switzerland: on May 11 in Stuttgart, on May 12 in Munich, on May 14 in Zurich, on 15 May in Frankfurt, on May 16 in Hamburg, on May 18 in Berlin, on July 28 in Mainz, and July 29 at the Burg Herzberg Festival. The tour is organized by the agency of one of the most successful German promoter, Berthold Seliger. "Emigration - says Capossela - has changed and now we go to European countries not as immigrants but as fellow citizens, and is the great progress I believe we have done in our history, a project that needs to be defended now more than ever. And maybe even watching the weight of our shadow, of those ghosts left by our parents in their home countries, can help us to feel closer, more fraternally the journey, the uprooting that other people have to make, without having the privilege of be citizens of anyone. ABOUT / THE ITALIAN TOUR AND THE BAND

In recent months, "Ombra. Canzoni della cupa e altri spaventi", the Italian tour of Vinicio Capossela is enjoying great success, with which the artist brings in theaters the second part of "Canzoni della Cupa" and older tracks intertwined in the imaginary dark and mysterious of the Shadow. Much more than a concert, each show is a spectacle of imaginative evocations made of reflections and shadows that take shape on a tulle and mirrors backdrop, thanks to the work of production designer and shadows animator Anusc Castiglioni, with small stage machines built by Max Zanelli. The band that accompanies Vinicio Capossela is formed by: Alessandro "Asso" Stefana (guitar, harmonium and samplers), Glauco Zuppiroli (bass), Vincenzo Vasi (percussion, samples, theremin, vocals), Peppe Leone (frame drums, percussion, Mandolin, agricultural violin, vocals), Giovannangelo De Gennaro (fiddle, flutes, aulofoni, ancient instruments and vocals) and Edoardo De Angelis (violin). The sound engineer is Taketo Gohara, the light design is by Daniele Pavan, with artistic supervision of Loic Hamelin. The production manager is Michele Montesi.
