Motus theatre company brings

(1 June 2017) The Motus theatre company presents "MDLSX" in Madrid - an autobiographical piece with a single cast member: Silvia Calderoni. The show will be held from June 2nd to the 4th at the "Naves Matadero - Centro Internacional de Artes Vivas" in Madrid. It was promoted in collaboration with the Italian Institute of Culture of Madrid (among others) and with the contribution of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism and the Emilia Romagna Region. The actress creates an androgynous being by altering barriers between genres. Like an animal “en trance” as the New York Times described in the article "Shedding Skins and Resisting Automatic Adjectives": "Silvia Calderoni must be made of mercury or another liquid element that has yet to be discovered. Surely no body of mortal flesh could undergo the quicksilver transformations achieved by this remarkable performer in “MDLSX,” a perceptions-scrambling work from the Italian revolutionary theater troupe Motus" (NYT) (Red)

MOTUS

Motus, a nomadic and independent theatre company, was established in 1991 by Enrico Casagrande and Daniela Nicolò. They are constantly moving between countries, history, and disciplines. Casagrande and Nicolò, propelled by the need to confront certain topics, conflicts, and wounds of the present, scenically fuse art and social engagement through imaginaries that have reactivated the visions of some of the most uncomfortable "poets" of contemporaneity.
