Online training: 14 American learning Italian with ICoN courses

(June 8, 2017) On June 5 closed the training experience of 14 American teachers from the School of Italy "G. Marconi "in New York, who studied Italian online through the ICoN language courses, Italian Consortium, which operates in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Italian school "G. Marconi "(http://lascuoladitalia.org/), directed by Professor Maria Palandra, is the only bilingual and bicultural school in North America. Born in 1977, it accompanies the students from the daycare to highschool graduation; it requires teachers to know Italian and ICoN, with their language online courses, has been contacted to follow their training. 14 teachers followed for four months the Italian Destination Courses, specially designed by ICoN for an American audience. Nine teachers took advantage of the Italian Destination Course 1, while five participated in the second level of the course, Italian Destination 2. All 14 teachers were supported by a qualified ICoN tutor and were able to attend the courses through two virtual classes thought for them, supporting written and oral production tests and activities. ABOUT / TEACHING INSTRUMENTS 2.0

Luca Rasori is the reference ICoN tutor for the 14 teachers and he recounts his impression on the experience just ended: "The online course rate allowed teachers to reconcile the Italian study with the many school-related commitments. And to know, at least in part, the universe of web 2.0 didactic tools, which we have used in the creative reuse of the structures learned in the course. Teachers, therefore, have not only improved their knowledge of Italian: they have also acquired new digital skills."
