(19 aprile 2018) The Minister of Defense, Senator Roberta Pinotti, and the President of the Dante Alighieri Society Prof. Andrea Riccardi, signed a memorandum of understanding today in order to develop projects, in national and in international contexts, to promote and develop collaborative initiatives and permanent consultation in the promotion and dissemination of Italian culture and language. The aim of the agreement is to start a collaboration framework between the two parties to develop initiatives that allow the Italian Armed Forces, engaged in international missions or hosting representatives of other armies in collaboration programmes in Italy, to take advantage of the collaboration of the Dante Society in the diffusion of Italian language and culture in support of interpersonal and institutional relations for the official recognition of Italian language skills as a foreign language.
