(20 aprile 2018)The Italian Institute of Culture in Sydney renews its collaboration with the 2018 "Head On Photo Festival" inaugurating the exhibition "Unrecognized Nation, Forgotten War" by photographer, Emanuele Amighetti on Tuesday, May 8th at 18:00. The Institute will also showcase a work from the exhibition "La nostalgia" by Antonio Privitera, which will be shown at the Festival at the Gaffa Gallery in Sydney. The inauguration of the exhibition is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8th at 6pm. Amighetti is a freelance documentary photographer deeply interested in the relationship between the past and the present and how human beings react to adversity. His work focuses on social issues and on the consequences of war. He has won several photography awards including the PDN Photo Annual Award, the PX3 Prix de la Photographie, the Lenscratch Student Prize, as well as receiving awards at the Head on Photo Festival and the Belfast Photo Festival. His photographs have been exhibited in galleries and festivals in France, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Australia, and Great Britain, as well as being published in various international journals.
