Homage to Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco<br>and to Italian style

(25 may 2018) Guitarist Luigi Attademo pays tribute to the Italian and naturalised American composer, Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco, 50 years after his death during a concert on Monday, May 28th at 19:00 at the Italian Institute of Culture of Berlin: "Chitarra sola: Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco e lo stile italiano" (Solo guitar: Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco and Italian Style). He does so with a concert scheduled for Monday, May 28 at 19 at the Italian Institute of Culture Berlin: "Guitar solo: Mario Castelnuovo-German and Italian style". Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco is an important figure in Italian music during the first half of the twentieth century. A native of Florence deeply tied to his origins and his city (among other merits, he was part of the commission that accompanied V. Gui, the future Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino). At the top of the musical world of his time (his concerts were performed by the greatest musicians such as Heifetz and Piatigorski), because of his Jewish origin he experienced marginalization and voluntary exile to the United States, separating him from Italy and from Florence. Castelnuovo-Tedesco died in 1968, and 2018 marks the fiftieth anniversary of his death. Attademo, considered one of the most important guitarists of his generation, pays homage to him today.
