(15 June 2018) The presentation of the artistic project "Il filo dell' alleanza", envisaged and carried out by Daniela Papadia, will be held next June 21st at the Pontifical Institute Notre Dame of Jerusalem. The artistic project "Il filo dell'alleanza" (The Thread of Alliance) consists in the creation of a tapestry designed by Daniela Papadia and realized by a group of Israeli and Palestinian embroiderers from different cultures and religions, coordinated by the artist from the SITAM Fashion School in Rehovot and by Michal Avissar Cohen. The subject of the tapestry is a map of the Mare Nostrum, depicted by a graphic representation of genes in human blood, in our DNA. This is an initiative of the "Italy, Culture, Mediterranean" programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, promoted by the Italian Embassy in Israel, the Consulate General of Jerusalem, and the Italian Institute of Culture in Tel Aviv in collaboration with the SITAM Fashion School, and WISH World International Sicilian Heritage.
