Food, German delegation<br>studies the University of Parma

(25 September 2018) On September 26th and 27th a delegation of the prestigious German foundation "Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes" will be visiting the University of Parma to learn more on its work on food between economics and nutrition. The guests of the "Studienstiftung", the largest and oldest institution in Germany in support of deserving students and doctoral students, will be accompanied at the University of Parma by Filippo Arfini, professor of Agricultural Economics in the Department of Economics and Business Sciences and president of the Master's Degree Programme in Management of quality food systems and gastronomy. The group of German guests, composed of 15 students plus a coordinator, is working on a research project entitled "The Italian Food Valley - The Intangible Heritage of the Mediterranean Diet between Safeguarding Tradition and Maximizing Profit", with the aim of examining the mutual influence of the food sector with politics, the economy, the environment and culture, both at local and national level.
