(28 September 2018) “What Could/Should Curating Do? is the title of the first international course for curators in Belgrade, scheduled until December 7th, conceived and organised by curator Biljana Ciric in collaboration with the digital magazine Supervizuelna. In the framework of this course and on the occasion of the Contemporary Art Day, the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade presents the participation of Gea Politi, principal editor of Flash Art, a bimonthly contemporary art magazine founded in Rome in 1967 by the editor and art critic Giancarlo Politi and based in Milan since 1971. Gea Politi will speak on the theme "Making Flash Art today. Questions and answers in art publishing in 2018" Monday, October 1st at 18:00 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade. On Tuesday, October 2nd at 10.30, Politi will hold a workshop at the IIC Belgrade. The following week, the IIC presents the critic and curator Hou Hanru, artistic director of the National Museum of 21st Century Arts (MAXXI) in Rome since 2013. Hanru will hold a workshop at the Belgrade IIC on Tuesday, October 9th at 14:30; on Wednesday, October 10th at 18:00 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, Hou Hanru will speak on the theme "Reengaging a contemporary art institution with civic society".
