Contemporary, an evening<br>dedicated to Oscar Wilde

(28 September 2018) An evening dedicated to Oscar Wilde will take place on October 4th at the Italian Institute of Culture in London, as part of the "Contemporary" series. The event will be introduced and moderated by Monica Capuani with Ferdinando Bruni, Francesco Frongia, and Kathryn Hunter:  an encounter with three great theatre artists to honour and reflect on the importance of the great intellectual, poet, and writer in the contemporary international cultural scene. Ferdinando Bruni and Francesco Frongia co-directed, last year, the "importance of being called Ernesto by Oscar Wilde and obscene acts: the three trials of Oscar Wilde by Moisés Kaufman". Kathryn Hunter was among the artists who gave life to "Inside", the Oscar-winning initiative, promoted by Artangel in the Reading prison. Curated and moderated by Monica Capuani, "Contemporary" is a series of  conversations, readings ,and live performances that presents the English public with an authoritative overview of today's Italian theatre. Actors, playwrights, and Italian directors, great masters and successful young people, talk about their artistic research and confront themselves with important exponents of contemporary English theatre.
