A fistful of dollars for the Lavazza<br>Italian Film Festival

(3 October 2018) As part of the Lavazza Italian Film Festival, the Italian Institute of Culture of Melbourne presents, in collaboration with Palace Cinemas, the new restored version of the film For a Fistful of Dollars by Sergio Leone, filmed in 1964. The screening - October 6th at the Astor Theatre - will be preceded by a brief introduction by Laura Napolitano, director of the Melbourne Institute of Culture. This film inaugurated the genre of the 'Western all'italiana', better known as "Spaghetti Westerns" and brought back into vogue the Western genre in general, which had long been in crisis. In addition to his unquestionable artistic merits and having launched the career of a then still unknown Clint Eastwood, the film boasts a wonderful soundtrack composed by Ennio Morricone. Also screened will be "For a Few Dollars More" and "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" starring Clint Eastwood as a leading actor.
