(22 October 2018) "The museums of Tuscany Reunited under the Museum Network: An absolute Italian Excellence" by Stefano Casciu, director of the Tuscany Museum Network conference on October 25th at 18:30 in Lisbon. The event was organised by the Italian Institute of Culture in collaboration with the Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga of Lisbon, hosted it at its headquarters in Rua das Janelas Verdes. It will be translated simultaneously from Italian into Portuguese.  Art historian, Casciu studied in Florence under Mina Gregori, closely studying the themes of collecting and artistic patronage of the Medici family, in particular, of the last of the family, Anna Maria Luisa Elettrice Palatina. His studies and his bibliography are mainly devoted to late-Medicean Florence, to Florentine art between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries (in particular to still life), to collecting, and to the patronage of the ancient Italian dynasties. On the subject, he also curated the exhibition "The Wise Princess. The legacy of Anna Maria Luisa de 'Medici Elettrice Palatina" in the Palatine Gallery of Palazzo Pitti (2006). Since 1990,  he has worked as an art historian for the Ministry for Cultural Heritage.
