(24 October 2018) The symphonic season of the Teatro Verdi in Trieste makes a stop in Ljubljana for an international event supported by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, by the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and by the Municipality of Trieste. On Tuesday October 30th, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, with the collaboration of the Italian Cultural Institute, will host the Orchestra of the Giuseppe Verdi Teatro Lirico Foundation, which will perform its sixth concert of 2018 under the direction of Maestro Fabrizio Maria Carminati. The programme includes music by Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij (Suite for orchestra No. 4 in G major, Op 61 "Mozartiana") and a testimony of the second decade of the Italian twentieth century, with the performance of the Vetrate di Chiesa and the Rossini suite of Ottorino Respighi - the latter in homage to the one-hundred-and-fifty-year anniversary of Gioacchino Rossini's death.
