(24 October 2018) "Unlearning Barcelona" is a contemporary art festival that for the first time in Europe will see the collective activity of Italian collectives and artists who were invited to take action in the city of Barcelona, following the shared practice of unlearning, through which to adopt a new outlook on the city and engaging with its inhabitants without geographical and political borders. The Festival will be presented to the press on November 6th at the Italian Institute of Culture in Barcelona. "Together with the public we will imagine ways to unlearn everything we already know and that has led to a globalised world that fuels the obsession for calculation, statistics, monitoring, ongoing evaluation, control, self evaluation, and doxa. The monetisation of our experiences has erased the distinction between private and public, between work and rest time, place of production and the domestic space, so that what matters is now counted. A shared knowledge is possible only if it's the result of collective work" as reported on the IIC website.
