18 August, 2015 - The Italian organist Donato Cuzzato will perform on Thursday, 20 August (at 7pm), in the Church of St. James in Prague, as part of the 20th edition of the International Organ Festival "St. James Audite Organum." The concert, organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of the Czech capital, will features pieces by G. Picchi, JS Bach, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, O. Radish, and ME Bossi. Maestro Cuzzato was born in Treviso and completed his studies at the "G. Frescobaldi" Conservatory of Ferrara, and then perfected with Bruno Coulter and Gunter Kaunzinger at the Organ School in Wurzburg (Germany). His concert repertoire, performed in the most prestigious international organ festival, extends from Renaissance music to contemporary pieces.
AN INTERNATIONAL ARTIST
Donato Cuzzato played in the largest cathedrals in the world such as those of Bourges, Chartres, Cologne, Seville, Lausanne, Malta and Nuremberg. The artist has also performed on the most famous organs in the world such as those in the Town Hall in Birmingham, the Palau de la Música in Valencia, the Paul Gerhardt Kirke in Berlin, the Johannes Kirka Stockholm, the Notre-Dame des Neiges in Alpe d'Huez and the King's College Chapel in Cambridge.
