Exploring the exhibit on the

November 5th, 2015 - Creativity, colors, shapes, and the joy of living: in less than a month, on Wednesday, December 2, Munich (underground line U3 / U6 Universität Ludwigstraße, near the northern Siegestor entrance) inaugurates the exhibition by Serio Digitalino entitled "Elements of lightness." Born in Matera in November 1956, and the artist has lived in Munich since 1977. His art translates into sculptures, oil, acrylics, charcoals paintings and even wall paintings in trompe-l'oeil style. Art is for this artist a chance to represent the joy of living. In his paintings, Digitalino loves to play with color and light, and above all to narrate the lightness in his works: joy and lightness are produced by the energy of radiant colors, objects and abstract figures. The purpose is to provide, through the combination of a realistic representation and an emotional expression, works that feed well into our modern reality. The curator of the exhibition, Karl Honorat Prestele, will have the task to present the art pieces on opening night (which begins at 7pm), while the public will be able to admire Digitalino’s "light elements" until January 5. The exhibition, as stated on the website of the Italian Institute of Culture of Munich, was organized by Bezirksausschuss 3 Maxvorstadt Unterausschuss Kultur, and was sponsored by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Forum Italia.
