December 3rd, 2015 - For the first time, Sao Paulo hosts the Short Film Day 2015, an exhibition that will screen the best Italian short films produced during the year. The event is scheduled for Monday, December 21 (at 7.30pm) at the Italian Cultural Institute of the city, organized by the National Short Film Centre of the Turin-Italian Short Film Center. These are short films in the program: “L’attesa del maggio” by Simone Massi; “La salita” by Francesca Barison; “Eternit” by Giovanni Aloi; “Lo so che mi senti” by Francesca Mazzoleni; “Mamma mia” by Milena Tipaldo and Francesca Marinelli; “Ménage à trois” by Emanuele Daga; and “Frankie” by Francesco Francio Mazza. THE NATIONAL SHORT FILM CENTRE

The National Short Film Centre is a national Aiace (Italian Association of Arthouses) project, in collaboration with the National Museum of Cinema. It is supported by the Ministry of Heritage, Cultural Activities and Tourism, the Piedmont Region and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Torino. Born in 2007 as a film library and a promotion agency for Italian short films, the Center has, to date, restored and digitalized 300 films (film and magnetic tape). It operates on domestic productions of all genres up to a maximum of 40 ', but it is also present on international markets and acts as an interface at festivals and foreign buyers. Furthermore, it provides information about the production and distribution of Italian shorts. Both at home and abroad, it works in conjunction with the leading institutions operating in the sector, such as the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
