Berlin - There's a new Italian talent emerging on the international scene. His name is Matteo Markus Bok, a 12 year old Italian-German performer who is the only Italian selected among 15,000 candidates for the television show "The Voice Kids" Germany. For now, Matteo is getting ready for the Blind Auditions, which will air on the German channel SAT1 from 5 February. His mother is Italian, his father German, but he grew up in Italy with two great passions: dancing and singing. Despite his young age, Matteo’s raw talent makes him a well-rounded performer: not only does he sing, dance and act, but is also a songwriter who has already written unpublished pieces. After being noticed during a musical at the Collegio San Carlo in Milan, the school he is attending, he immediately began treading the important Milanese stages, performing in some of the most famous musicals: he was Little Simba in "The lion king "for the Collegio San Carlo, Max in "L’amico immaginario" at the Teatro San Babila, Peter Pan at the Teatro Litta and Benji in" Priscilla – La regina del deserto" at the Teatro Manzoni. Matteo was also selected by Massimo Piparo among 1,500 candidates for the title role in the musical "Billy Elliot." But Matteo is not new to television, as he’s already a household name for the Disney Channel Junior, where he hosts the program "Magic English", English classes for young spectators. (9Colonne)
