Sete Lagoas – Today, Sete Lagoas (in Minas Gerais, Brazil) hosted the traditional ceremony of "laying the first stone" to kick off construction works for the new manufacturing plant of Stevanato group in the presence of local authorities and the head of the company. The group based in Piombino Dese (Padua) specializes in pharmaceutical glass packaging as well as in technology for the development of machinery for glass tube processing, inspection systems for the pharmaceutical industry and equipment for the assembly, packaging and solutions for serialization. The new production site in Sete Lagoas - which represents an investment of about €30 million - will be developed on an area of about 40,000 square meters; it will have a system of 15 production lines equipped with the latest technology (also developed and manufactured by the Group) for the production of vials and cartridges; and it will welcome about 200 employees, to be trained in the other plants owned by the Group. It is expected that the plant will be operational in early 2017. With this operation, the Stevanato Group thus continues its internationalization project of widespread market coverage and production capacity expansion, to serve pharmaceutical markets locally with the same products and the same quality in customer support.
