Patrizia Anastasio, the ICoN student who works at the Embassy

(20 May 2016) Patrizia Anastasio attends, from Pakistan, the Masters in Translation activated by ICoN - Italian Culture on the Net: a Consortium composed of nineteen Italian Universities aimed to promote and spread the language and culture of Italy in the world through telematic technologies and specific educational initiatives. She is currently the administrative Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and is employed at the Italian Embassy in Islamabad. Her training has had an international character from the outset and served in Argentina, Slovakia, and Costa Rica after her studies in Germany. Her curriculum also includes short missions to Russia and Belarus. Her training includes a three-year degree from ICoN and a Masters in Translation provided by the Consortium: "A message arrived on the ICoN Consortium – explains Patrizia about her chosen courses - as a result of the agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At that moment it was not possible for me to study. But I never abandoned my goal, therefore realizing my dream at the first opportunity. The adventure of the Masters – she adds - is mainly reflects my career choice. I felt the need to remain anchored to Italy, to speak and write in Italian, and to not forget. And if my experience should end in a positive way, I will welcome the happy conclusion of my experience! I'm learning a lot. " About her experiences abroad, however, she said: "Surely the country that has more ties with our country is Argentina. The link with Germany looks different, it is in many cases the first generation of immigrants, Italians like me. Argentina instead, although there are third or fourth generations Italians, there is still remains a strong Italian imprint. " (PO / red)
