The Italian government contributes to the sexual health and reproductive rights of young women in Palestine through the funding of 500,000 euros. The "Promoting sexual health and reproductive rights in Palestine" initiative aims to ensure better access to quality health services for young women. The funding provided by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) will enable UNFPA to work with governmental organisations, civil society, and universities to ensure that institutions dealing with national policies and the delivery of services adopt a holistic and decentralised approach to the issue sexual health and reproductive rights in Palestine. The intervention will support initiatives that will lead to overcoming the cultural, institutional, and social barriers that limit the right of young women to freely access health services.
