The Embassy celebrates the International Italian Research Day

(13 April 2018) The Ministry of Education, University, and Research, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has recently established an International Italian Research Day. It will consist of events that will present and promote Italian research in the fields of science and technology in more than one hundred cities around the world. On this occasion, the Italian Embassy in Belgrade organised a sensational exhibition "L'eredità di Fermi" (Fermi's Legacy), which will be inaugurated at the National Library on April 16th at 18:00 by the new Italian Ambassador, Carlo Lo Cascio. The exhibition illustrates Italian research's great contribution - in particular the Panisperna Group - in the field of atomic and particle physics and will be open to the public from April 17th to April 30th. In addition, on April 16th to 12:00, at the EU info centre, Prof. Pable Cirrone (National Laboratories of the South - National Institute of Nuclear Physics) will hold the conference "Why particle Physics matters" which will highlight how many applications we interact with on a daily basis are a result of research from the Fermi Group.
