(6 September 2018) "Women and Power": a debate on the current role of women in positions of power and decision-making will take place tomorrow, at 18:30, in the Salone Benedetto Croce at the Italian Institute of Culture in Buenos Aires. "We will open the conference by analyzing the possible existence of the matriarchal organization in the past with current references to this type of social organization, from an anthropological point of view. "We will continue with an analysis of the trends and obstacles that women find in their professional career, in occupying positions of political, economic, and social power in the past and in the present, with particular regard to Argentina, Italy, and the rest of Europe" according to the IIC website. The conference will be introduced by the Director of the IIC, Donatella Cannova followed by President of "Incontro", Liliana Ferrero's talk. Experts, anthropologists, lawyers will also speak at the conference.
