(11 September 2018) The Italian Contemporary Illustration will be inaugurated tomorrow at 18:30 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Dublin. It is an overview of Italian excellence in illustration through the works of artists awarded by Annual 2018 - the most authoritative competition in the field of the illustrated image in Italy and in Europe. The exhibition consists of 28 illustrations created for book covers, magazines, newspapers, children's books, textbooks, animation, consumer products and design, and includes works by Bruno Bozzetto (one of the most influential and eclectic Italian illustrators) and Lorenzo Ceccotti (famous illustrator and cartoonist and president of the jury of the latest edition of Annual). Marco Palena, Aina Bestard, and Roberto Bianchi also stand out among the exhibited authors. The exhibition will be open until September 28th.
