(20 settembre 2018) Ecologica Tredi, a company based in Legnago, in Verona, celebrates 20 years of special waste treatment and disposal by hosting the works of the artist Sisto Righi and launching the "Progetto Scuola Cafal", the fundraising campaign organised by the NGO Associazione Guinea Bissau Onlus, to support the school expenses of a small village in Guinea Bissau. In the village of Cafal, from 1982 to 2002, an important solidarity project took place thanks to a group of volunteers from the Diocese of Verona, which includes Dario Beghini, owner of Ecologica Tredi and the sculptor, Sisto Righi. Ecologica Tredi Srl is a family business that was founded in 1998, which began its activity with a plant for the treatment of oil filters. In those years, reuse and recycling were still in its infancy: investing in the sector was a big bet that was one after twenty years. «To celebrate the 20 years of activity we thought of an event that combines art with attention to the environment and solidarity. These are the three key words that have always animated our activity as entrepreneurs and citizens in the last twenty years. The inspiring element is the meeting, or rather the combination of experiences and different paths, with the community of Cafal, geographically distant but, thanks to the work of many volunteers, deeply linked to Verona. The group of volunteers has kept this bond over the years and recently returned from Cafal with some specific requests, which aim to guarantee the dignity of the people. Together with Sisto Righi we know this community well and for this reason, we have decided to make spaces and innovation available to help Cafal" explains Beghini.
