(20 settembre 2018) The International Conference on Behcet's Disease (Icbd), the most important event dedicated to the disease that brought doctors and researchers from different disciplines from all over the world, was held in Rotterdam from September 13th to 15th. This is what was reported in a press release by the "San Carlo" di Potenza. "The Department of Rheumatology of Basilicata, since its foundation, has always paid great attention to Behcet's disease," said Dr. Angela Padula, new director of the UOC of Rheumatology. "After the previous world conference on Behcet's disease, which we had the honor of organising and hosting in Matera, it was Holland's the turn. Also on this occasion our group has distinguished itself internationally for its scientific contribution, representing Italy with colleagues in Florence. These awards are the result of constant efforts in the clinical assistance and research activities which have culminated in the publication of recommendations on the treatment of Behcet's Disease proposed under Eular - the most prestigious rheumatological scientific society of Europe. Our Department has actively participated in this project and over the last few months, we have also published the work of systematic literature review carried out by Pietro Leccese from our Centre and by Yesim Ozguler, from the University Cerraphasa of Istanbul ".
