(1 October 2018) The event "Sardinia Land of Innovation - Investment Opportunities" - a working day organised with the ICE Agency, dedicated to the Sardinia Region and opportunities for investment proposed by the region will take place on September 27th at the Italian Embassy in London. The event was aimed at encouraging the establishment of a network of contacts and a collaboration between start-up companies from Sardinia, their counterparts based in the United Kingdom and representatives of international markets potentially interested in investing in the innovative Sardinian sector. The initiative is also part of the "Italy for Innovation" series of events dedicated to innovation in Italy and the United Kingdom, launched by the Italian Embassy two weeks ago. The Ambassador Raffaele Trombetta introduced the works emphasizing the focus that the Sardinia region has placed on innovation and the promotion of start-ups.  As evidence of the strong focus on research and development in the field of technological innovation and of ICT, also for the purposes of commercial development in this area, the Ambassador mentioned how the Region has, over the past three years, collected over 200 applications by companies that responded to calls for internationalisation and registered a large number of new start-ups, with a parallel increase in exports in the high-tech sectors.
