Food Week: a celebration <br>of Mediterranean Diet in Minsk

Mediterranean diet: a way of eating, but also a way of life. Tomato, mozzarella, and basil are the most popular and appreciated ingredients in Italian cuisine and in the Mediterranean overall. The extra virgin olive oil that seasons pasta or pizza becomes an essential part of them. All this has lead to UNESCO nominating pizza as immaterial world heritage in 2017 and of the "Colline del Prosecco of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene". It is also for these reasons, the Italian Embassy in Minsk has announced that the Mediterranean diet will be celebrated in Belarus starting today with an evening dedicated only to Pizza ("Pazzi per la pizza!") at "La Scala" Restaurant in Minsk, with well-known Italian pizza makers. The week will continue with meetings between Italian partners and potential local buyers and conference cycles organised in collaboration with the "Simevep", which has been active in preventive veterinary medicine, and master classes at the Hilton Hotel.
