To commemorate the International Day of Remembrance, the Oshman Family Jewish Community Centre in San Francisco, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute, presents "Beyond Duty", presents an exhibition featuring 30 diplomatic foreigners who saved Jews and minorities during the Second World War, and the screening of the documentary "Shores of Light". The screening will be preceded by a reception with the Consuls General of Israel and Italy. Shlomi Kofman, Consul General of Israel for the Pacific Northwest, will present the exhibition which is a tribute to the diplomats of 21 countries that have been recognized by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations. Lorenzo Ortona, Consul General of Italy and current president of the EU in San Francisco, will introduce the documentary "Shores of Light: Salento 1945-1947", directed by Yael Katzir.
