Paris - A new section of the FIA Hall of Fame - the gallery created in 2017 to celebrate the history of Formula 1 - was inaugurated on January 30 at the Paris Headquarters of the International Automobile Federation at Place de la Concorde 17 World Rally Championships, one of the most demanding and engaging disciplines in motor racing. Many key figures from these exciting competitions were present, including world champion Miki Biasion from the Squadra Corse Lancia, as well as some winning cars from different eras of the World Rally Championship. Among the most admired was an extraordinary Lancia Stratos Gr.4 Alitalia (1974) that won the rally of Portugal in 1976 and was ranked second in the Monte Carlo rally of 1977. Distinguished by the white-red-green livery of the Alitalia sponsor, the specimen is part of the precious collection of FCA Heritage, the department in the Group for the protection and promotion of the historical heritage of the Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, and Abarth brands. The legendary Stratos model gave Lancia absolute domination of the rally world until the mid-70s. (9colonne)
