(12 march 2019) The conference "The foundation of the Etruscan city: the example of Bologna" by Massimo Maracci, within the "Etruria" series, will be held on March 19th at 19:00 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Hamburg. Massimo Maracci will present an anthropological-cultural excursus on the historical development of the city of Bologna: the Etruscan origins, the university, the cuisine, up to the rich productive fabric in the sectors of small high-tech mechanical industry (Maserati, Ducati, Lamborghini and parts of Ferrari production).  Massimo Maracci directs "Cultura Italiana", a school of Italian language and culture for foreigners, a research centre for Italian teaching in collaboration with the University of Bologna, and a teacher training centre for the University of Siena. He graduated in Philosophy and taught philosophy in high school and collaborated in the publication of texts by French structuralist philosophers (Foucault, Baudrillard, Deleuze, Guattari). Since 2010, he has lectured on Italian cities and anthropology in Italy and abroad.
