Wednesday 3rd April at 18:30, the Italian institute of culture in Melbourne will host the Federico Albanese concert. The composer from Milan, class '82, makes musical versatility his main characteristic. An explorer of music in all its facets, his compositions mix classical, pop, and psychedelic music. Federico started studying piano and clarinet when he was just a child, before becoming fascinated by rock music that led him to perform with different bands. Influenced by hip hop and R&B music, folk music, electronic music, modern music, and contemporary classical music, his composing skills emerged almost immediately. He worked for five years as a toolmaker in various movie sets - an experience that made him aware of the link between music and images and helped him develop his personal musical path. The event was organised in collaboration with CO.AS.IT and the Castlemaine State Festival.
