(2 April 2019) Starting next Monday, April 15th until Saturday 27th in the Exhibition Hall of the Italian Cultural Institute in Tokyo: a photographic exhibition "the deep colors of the Mediterranean" featuring selection of the images collected over fifty oceanographic campaigns conducted along the Italian coasts to explore habitats between 50 and 400 meters deep. The photos illustrate the resources that the Mediterranean Sea preserves and the thrilling journey that led to the discovery of unexpected and rich environments of life.  The exhibition was organised by the Scientific Office of the Embassy of Italy in collaboration with ISPRA, the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research.
