Brasília – This year, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is launching the calls for applications for awards dedicated to scientific cooperation, Italian innovation abroad, and young female scientists from foreign countries. Those who meet the requirements outlined in the calls can submit their applications by the deadlines specified by the various Italian diplomatic missions, clearly indicating the subject of the application emails. The awards are as follows:
"Farnesina Prize – Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award": Now in its eighth edition, this award alternates annually between senior and junior researchers who have distinguished themselves abroad for outstanding scientific achievements. For this edition, the call is aimed at senior researchers. Applications will be reviewed by a Scientific Committee made up of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAECI) and the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), Presidents of Italy’s major public research entities, and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI).
"Innovation that Speaks Italian" Award: Also in its eighth edition, this award recognizes the high innovative value of technological startups operating abroad and Italian citizens. Applications will be reviewed by a Technical Committee coordinated by PNI Cube (an association bringing together incubators and academic “business plan competitions” in Italy, established to foster the creation and market entry of knowledge-based enterprises from universities).
"Science, She Says!" Award: Now in its third edition, this award will be granted to five young female researchers under 40 from five different geographical regions (Africa and the Middle East; Asia and the Pacific; Europe; Central and South America; North America). (9colonne)
