Hamburg – On December 4th at 7:30 PM, an extraordinary show will take place at the Hamburg Planetarium, featuring a 360-degree projection on the planetarium's dome of photographs taken by the photographer Heinrich Brinkmöller-Becker, who, along with his camera, explored the miniature worlds of the "Nativity Scenes on Water." The nativity scenes on water in Crodo, in northern Piemonte, are a very special example of this tradition. Each year, more than fifty nativity scenes make up this fascinating outdoor exhibition, all united by one common denominator: water. They are set up on ancient stone fountains, washbasins, and streams, paying homage to water, for which Crodo is still known throughout Italy. The alpine town has had mineral springs for centuries, and its mineral water is considered particularly tasty. The hydroelectric power station, which is of great architectural significance, still provides electricity to the entire valley. The nativity scenes are created by local residents with great attention to detail and creativity. The materials used are impressive: painted stones, knitwear, linen, sheep wool, polystyrene, clay, wood, paper, straw, glass, metal, felt, dough, and even Playmobil figures. The Trio Ellipsis has prepared a special program for the projection. The Sardinian trio consists of Alberto Cesaraccio (oboe), Fabio De Leonardis (cello), and Antonino Maddonni (guitar). (9colonne)
