Monte Carlo - The 21st edition of the MonteCarlo Film Festival de la Comédie, created and chaired by Ezio Greggio, is underway. The event takes place from November 27 to 30 at the Grimaldi Forum in the Principality of Monaco. The Monte Carlo Film Festival is the only international festival entirely dedicated to comedy.

This year, all competing and out-of-competition films will be evaluated by an international jury featuring French actress Anne Brochet, a César Award winner for Best Supporting Actress in Tous les matins du Monde, who will serve as jury president, alongside Federica Sabatini and Andrea Ferreol.

The festival will conclude on November 30 with a gala evening hosted by Greggio, featuring Prince Albert II of Monaco as guest of honor. Special guest Giuseppe Tornatore, the renowned director, writer, and screenwriter, will also attend.

The seven films in competition this year include:

Puan by María Alché and Benjamín Naishtat (Argentina), a multiple award winner at the San Sebastian Film Festival;
Paul & Paulette Take a Bath by Jethro Massey (United Kingdom), winner of the Audience Award at the International Critics' Week;
Une langue universelle (Universal Language) by Matthew Rankin (Canada), Canada's Oscar submission;
Le procès du chien (Dog on Trial), the debut feature by Laetitia Dosch (Switzerland, France);
La Scommessa (High Stakes: A Night in the Ward) by Giovanni Dota (Italy), a dark comedy starring Carlo Buccirosso, Lino Musella, Nando Paone, and Iaia Forte;
Una casa en flames (A House on Fire) by Dani de la Orden (Spain);
Vampire humaniste cherche suicidaire consentant (Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person) by Ariane Louis-Seize, winner at the Giornate degli Autori. (9colonne)
