Today at Villa Madama, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will preside over the launch event of the Days of Italian Fashion in the World, an opportunity to discuss the sector's internationalisation strategies and priorities. ‘The fashion system has a crucial importance for our economy and a strategic value in promoting the Italian brand in global markets,’ commented Tajani. ’We therefore want to support this sector in a concrete way, through the diplomacy of growth: tomorrow the Fashion Table for internationalisation will meet for the first time, a protocol will be signed with the ten main trade associations, and we will present the Days of Italian Fashion in the World, which will be implemented by the more than 300 Farnesina Offices abroad. The ceremony will be attended by the presidents of the main trade associations, the president of Ice-Agenzia Matteo Zoppas, and representatives of the Guardia di Finanza. A memorandum of understanding will also be signed between the Farnesina and the associations, which will provide the institutional framework for deepening cooperation between the public and private sectors, and which also envisages collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza to develop training projects abroad aimed at preventing and combating counterfeiting.
