The Consorzio Vino Chianti is set to present seventy wine labels, including twenty dedicated to Chianti D.O.C.G., at ProWein 2025. The event, scheduled to take place in Düsseldorf from March 16 to 18, is one of the most significant international gatherings for the wine industry, bringing together wineries, experts, and enthusiasts.
The Consorzio Vino Chianti will be located at Hall 15 – Stand C42, featuring an institutional tasting counter dedicated to the Chianti D.O.C.G. designation, showcasing 51 different Chianti types.
"The European wine market," commented Giovanni Busi, President of the Consorzio Vino Chianti, "sees Germany as a key trading partner for our denomination. ProWein offers a vital opportunity for industry discussions, especially in light of the significant decline in sales volumes across the continent in 2024. Rising production costs, reduced purchasing power, and a gradual global economic downturn have all had a negative impact. These are crucial factors that require careful analysis, as Europe, despite our focus on intercontinental markets, remains an essential point of reference for us."
