Madrid – The Netflix Italy series The Leopard was presented at the Italian Embassy in Madrid. Ambassador Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi emphasized how the production “honors and interprets the beauty and complexity of Tomasi di Lampedusa’s literary work with a modern and powerful language.” He added that “the series brings to the screen a profound reflection on historical changes and the passage of time, offering a new and powerful opportunity to understand Sicily, the unique value of its culture and history. The global reach of Netflix will further promote this essential part of Italian identity, the cradle of the Mediterranean, a crossroads of peoples and civilizations, with its extraordinary artistic and cultural treasures.”
The event was attended by personalities from the business, hospitality, cultural, artistic, and Spanish aristocratic circles, along with Netflix representatives, including Tinny Andreatta, Vice President of Netflix Italy, Fabrizio Donvito, CEO of Indiana Production, and Esperanza Ibáñez, Netflix’s Public Policy Director for Spain.
