Brisbane – The Italian Chamber of Commerce in QLD & NT celebrated Italian culture with an aperitivo and the first launch event of The Glory of Dante, a book by Richard Alston, hosted at the Gadens offices in Brisbane City. A barrister, politician, diplomat, company director, and federal government minister for over seven years, Alston has been a prominent voice in Australia’s national debate on issues such as privatization, innovation, technology, the arts, and media. He played a leading role in transforming the Communications portfolio into a cornerstone of the Australian economy. The evening was opened by the Chamber President, Allan Pidgeon, together with Gadens partner John Kettle. It was attended by key representatives of the Italian community in Brisbane and Queensland, including the President of the Dante Alighieri Society, business leaders, and friends of Italian culture.
