Amsterdam – Tonitto 1939 continues its growth in the private label market, which now accounts for 70% of the company’s total revenue. After a record-breaking 2024, Italy’s leading producer of sorbet, sugar-free gelato, and specialty frozen desserts has recently launched new private label projects in four major European countries: the Netherlands, Italy, Greece, and Germany, further consolidating its presence in the continent’s key markets.
Eastern Europe is also proving to be a strategic area of expansion: countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia are showing strong interest in Tonitto 1939’s tailor-made offerings. This positive trend confirms the continued growth of the private label sector, which already saw significant development last year and remains a key pillar for the company’s future.
Tonitto 1939 will once again participate in the international PLMA – “World of Private Label” trade show, to be held on May 20–21 at the RAI Amsterdam. This is the most important European event dedicated to private label products, featuring over 3,160 exhibitors from 75 countries and attracting more than 19,000 professional buyers and visitors from over 120 nations.
Highlighting Tonitto’s excellence in the private label sector, the company received two awards at the PLMA Awards: the Galatine gelato and the innovative Tonitto DUO (50% gelato and 50% sorbet) were both recognized for their innovation, quality, and responsiveness to the needs of international retailers and consumers.
