Apr. 25 - After the Italian success, Mario Biondi begins his international conquest: the concert on May 10 at the Royal Albert Hall in London only anticipates the global release of the album "Sun" - already Gold Album in Italy - which will be published May 13 in Europe, May 22 in Japan and June 4in the U.S. For the past 10 days, Biondi has been in the Top 20 of the UK Soul Chart, an incredible achievement for an Italian artist and a great confirmation and consecration of a unique artist in the Italian music scene. Biondi has received the high praise audiences and international critics thanks to 6 sold out gigs at Ronnie Scott's in London, the famous temple of European jazz, in 2012. Mario Biondi is now ready for a new challenge that will see him perform around the world, with his international tour beginning in Italy in June.
OUTSIDE ITALY
Mario Biondi became famous outside of Italy when he opened some concerts of international artists, most notably Ray Charles. He later published in Japan the single "This is what you are", that reaches Norman Jay, famous dj for BBC1, who introduces the piece across Europe. Biondi’s popularity on a global scale is enhanced by international collaborations, such as the one with Bluey, leader of Incognito, and Chaka Khan. Excellent feedback from abroad also comes with the album "Two (With the Unexpected Glimpses)" released in 2011. During the same year and throughout 2012 Biondi participated in numerous jazz festivals in Europe. The "Sun Tour" will make a stop in Milan and Switzerland, in Ascona on June 23.
