May 16 - Estrima, the producing and distributing company of the small electric four-wheel Birò, announces the opening of its first flagship store of the same name in the heart of Amsterdam - in Rozengracht, one of the most characteristic streets of the capital. The store, which will open Thursday, May 23, will have a completely friendly approach: the showroom, a space between the tall, narrow buildings and the maze of the typical channels, also houses a bar area designed for an informal approach; it will also be possible to carry out a test drive on the road. The decision to open an Estrima flagship in Amsterdam stems from the desire to expand into the more receptive cities to eco-mobility – Amsterdam being one of them – where Birò navigates its narrow alleys better than any other vehicle. "Over the last 50 years, the majority of European cities have been transformed to meet the needs of car traffic and pedestrians alike - says Estrima’s president Matteo Maaestri - leaving the latter an increasingly marginal role. If it is true that in recent years many capitals have been attempting to reverse the trend, Amsterdam has never stopped favoring bikes and pedestrian mobility over cars. And today, the city administration has introduced numerous other benefits for the dissemination of electric mobility by placing electric plug columns all over town. For this reason, we believe this market will have a major evolution. Pieter Vermeer, our partner in The Netherlands, represents a young and extremely active reality – in perfect synchronism with Estrima.”
BIRÒ IN VIENNA AND BUENOS AIRES
Estrima’s formula for the development of foreign retail is twofold. On the one hand, the flagship stores are developed in cooperation with a local partner - behaving in all respects as a franchisee (much like in the Amsterdam case presented above). On the other hand, multi-brand dealers, like Yoom in Vienna, specializing in multi-brand store electric vehicles, reserve Birò an important space in their showrooms – starting from late May in the case of Yoom. And across the world, Buenos Aires is about to received its first lithium powered Birò vehicles. An importer wants to open the Argentinian market to electric four-wheel vehicles via Birò. Here it is important to note that the category is not yet included any vehicle registry in the country. Foreign markets account today for 65% of Estrima sales; thanks to the Netherlands and Argentina, Estrima now sells its product in 19 countries: Slovenia, Croatia, France, Russia, Austria, Germany, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Belgium, Turkey, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Slovakia.
