Milano Marittima and Cervia at the Russian Apple store

Aug. 8 - From today, the tourist offer of Milano Marittima and Cervia bear no more secrets to the Russians, thanks to a new application, identital to the Italian and English versions, which in one year were downloaded over 10,000 times, downloadable from the Russian Apple store. The app, in Cyrillic, provides a detailed mapping of the area's activities (hotels, restaurants, shops presented with a card completely administrable by the operators themselves through the site www.milanomarittimalife.it). The inclusion of commercial activities in basic form is free, and currently there are about a thousand facilities listed, including 387 hotels, 72 restaurants, 174 bathing establishments, 80 shops and many services. All activities are geo-located and, through the app, users can connect the navigator to Google and receive precise driving or walking directions. The mobile guide in Russian is aimed at a market that continuously demonstrates its growing love for Italy, with the Russian tourist market experiencing exponential growth (between 2005 and 2010 +119.8% in arrivals and +116.6% presences). The Cyrillic app dedicated to Milano Marittima and Cervia is among the first to be built in Italy on a Russian platform and can become a valuable tool holiday choice, to get information concerning shopping, entertainment and clubbing. In order to promote awareness of this new tool among Russian tourists a collaboration with associations of local hoteliers, Assohotel and Federalberghi, is currently being set up.

THE " RUSSIA PROJECT"

Created by Media Consulting, the app is only the last of a series of activities promoted in the magazine Milano Marittima Life as part of a project designed for this growing market. The project saw the collaboration of the Tourism Agency in Cervia, the attention of the local trade associations, as well as many business owners and tourism operators in Milano Marittima, Cervia and Romagna, that has allowed to initiate focused partnerships with Russian tourism agencies. The downloadable app arrives in Russian with a detailed package of promotional tools available: in early 2013 the magazine was completely translated into Russian, and distributed through an exclusive network in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In conjunction with the creation of the app, the site milanomarittimalife.it was updated, now available with its search engine for restaurants in Italian, in English and in Russian.
