From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Mar. 24 – Cheeses, cured meats, soups (all made according to traditional recipes and using a wide variety of legumes: lentils, beans, chickpeas, and barley), and the unforgettable "Capunata cambuasciana." These, and many other typical products from Molise, are preparing to make their debut on taste buds worldwide. Molise’s wines and foods will be in Dublin thanks to the “Traditional foods and the Mediterranean diet” initiative promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Campobasso. The project aims to enhance the region’s products and their territory and traditions. The Chamber of Commerce has scheduled two events, for today and tomorrow, in the presence of the Irish media, institutional representatives, tourism industry and gastronomic experts. On this occasion, the Italian Ambassador Giovanni Adorni Braccesi Chiassi will meet the President of the Chamber, Amodio De Angelis, who commented on the mission: "These are two events to get closer to the Irish reality and begin business operations. The Molise territory and its gastronomic heritage are ready to engage with international actors and bring positive effects to the entire regional supply chain: raw material producers, food companies, and foodservice operators."
THE TWO EVENTS
Today, Dublin will host the press conference and tasting event for the official presentation of the “Traditional foods and the Mediterranean diet” project. The meeting will be held at the Italian School of Cooking, synonymous with the research for and dissemination of knowledge and traditions associated with the Mediterranean Diet. During the conference, the organizers will air the DVD "Italian Cuisine Archives of the Memory: Campobasso, the contemporary taste for an ancient cuisine." Tomorrow, the Pinocchio restaurant in Ranelagh, gourmet district of Dublin, will host a tasting of typical Molise products, followed by the presentation of the initiative promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Campobasso.
