Oct. 13 – How to tell the world with a touch of pink? RAI journalist Lucia Goracci has been doing it for years. And last Friday, as Salerno hosts the IV National UIL Congress on Public Administration, Goracci was awarded the prize "The pink pen," organized by UILPA to reward the journalist who, in 2013, emerged as the Italian envoy around the world. The initiative aims to highlight the continuous and careful work that Italian female war journalists carry out in the world, often interacting with our diplomatic, consular and cultural facilities abroad. Lucia Goracci receives the UILPA Foreign Affairs Award for her ability to tell, through images and text, not only the facts that make the crisis but also the people, often other women, who suffer under oppressive and discriminatory cultures. Lucia Goracci is also the focus of an article in "UILPA Magazine", UILPA’s online newspaper. The newspaper is "a new project, which will take off in the coming months, and we wanted to present it in paper format at the Congress," said Benedetto Attili yesterday, at the conclusion of the Congress.
